The Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC), based at HMS Nelson, Portsmouth has an exciting opportunity for a MOD Dentist available. We offer an inclusive working environment with substantial benefits!
We are looking for a well organised and adaptable Dentist who is also dedicated to providing excellent services to entitled personnel.
This is a full time position offering 37 hours per week. Requests to work flexibly and/or part time will be considered, taking into account business needs.
Please note the salary will be pro-rata where part time hours are undertaken.

Main duties of the job
You as the successful post holder will be responsible for the Line Management of a Civilian Dental Hygienist and Civilian Dental Nurses, completing their respective mid and end of year reports, approving annual leave and other administrative duties to support staff members in their roles within the department aswell as providing dental care for Service personnel.
You will be spending 2 hours per week conducting non- clinical activities including practice meetings, training, and personal administration. The remainder of the contracted hours are to be utilised to provide clinical outputs and work should be directed towards improving and maintaining the dental health and operational fitness of personnel for whom you are responsible.
