Rural Warwickshire North Primary Care Network (PCN) is seeking a dedicated ARRS GP to join our expanding team on a fixed-term contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across our network practices, delivering high-quality primary care services to our diverse patient population. The role is being recruited under the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) and offers the chance to be part of a supportive, forward-thinking multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will provide GP services in line with local and national guidance, supporting both routine and urgent care. You will also contribute to wider PCN projects and work closely with other ARRS staff such as clinical pharmacists, paramedics, and care coordinators.

Main duties of the job
- Provide routine and urgent GP consultations, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
- Manage patients with acute and long-term conditions in line with local and national guidance.
- Undertake home visits and telephone/video consultations as required.
- Prescribe safely, effectively, and in accordance with national and local prescribing guidelines.
- Refer patients to secondary care or community services when clinically appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary PCN team, including pharmacists, paramedics, social prescribers, care coordinators, and health & wellbeing coaches.
- Contribute to proactive population health management and the delivery of PCN service specifications.
- Support practice and PCN initiatives such as enhanced access, long-term condition management, and QOF/IIF achievement.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with NHS and GMC standards.
- Take part in audit, quality improvement, and clinical governance activities.
- Participate in PCN and practice meetings, contributing to service development and best practice.
- Provide supervision, mentoring, or clinical support to ARRS and other staff where appropriate.

- The successful candidate will be a fully qualified GP with GMC registration and licence to practise, with evidence of ongoing CPD and appraisal. They will have experience of working in UK general practice, confidently managing patients with both acute and long-term conditions and prescribing safely in line with current guidance. The postholder will demonstrate sound clinical knowledge and an evidence-based approach, combined with excellent consultation and communication skills. They will be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, showing strong organisational and time-management abilities. A patient-centred approach is essential, along with flexibility, adaptability, and a professional, reliable, and motivated attitude. The candidate will also be committed to ongoing professional development to ensure safe, effective, and up-to-date practice. ARRS GPs will remain those individuals who have obtained the CCT within the last two years (at the point of recruitment) and who have not been previously substantively employed as a GP in general practice.
Desirable
- In addition, it would be desirable for the candidate to hold postgraduate qualifications or diplomas, such as in chronic disease management, teaching, or minor surgery, and to be a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP). Experience of working within a Primary Care Network (PCN) or as part of a multidisciplinary team would be advantageous, as would previous experience supervising or mentoring staff or students. An understanding of PCN contractual requirements, including the Impact and Investment Fund (IIF), Enhanced Access, Directed Enhanced Services (DES), and the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF), together with an awareness of population health and health inequalities, would further strengthen an application.
