Akari Care is an award-winning provider of care homes for the elderly. They are seeking an enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to enrich the lives of their residents through engaging activities and events. The role involves planning and facilitating a variety of activities, collaborating with the wider team, and supporting residents both within the home and on outings. Main duties of the job
As an Activities Coordinator at Akari Care, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a diverse range of activities and events that cater to the varied interests, abilities, and cultural backgrounds of the residents. You will work closely with the Home Manager and the wider care team to ensure that residents are provided with opportunities to maintain existing hobbies, try new activities, and engage in social interaction. This role requires a flexible and adaptable approach, as you will need to respond to the changing needs and preferences of the residents. You will also be involved in fundraising initiatives and budgeting to support the residents' activities. Throughout your work, you will foster an environment that is supportive, caring, and kind, while respecting the individuality and dignity of each resident.
