Main duties of the job
As the critical link between the kitchen and the serving areas, the Kitchen Assistant will be conjointly responsible for caring for the residents. They will be involved in all the practical duties in a busy care home kitchen, including creating menus, plating up, arranging trollies, and ensuring each of the residents feel directly supported and looked after with the highest quality of support and care. It is vitally important to continuously ensure that they are mindful and conscious to individual religious and cultural backgrounds and how this might impact on meal choices, alongside making sure that all the residents feel they have a personalised service.
