Job summary
Rural Primary Care Network (PCN) is looking to recruit an Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our PCNs Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT). PCN team have built excellent working relationships between themselves and colleagues across the PCN, practices and colleagues from other PCNs. This is an exciting time to join Primary Care and shape the future of patient care at the first points of contact.
PCN's focus would be delivering PCN DES and improve capacity and access plan.
Please note this is not an Agenda for Change Contract, however we are able to offer the NHS Pension Scheme to the successful candidate(s).
Main duties of the job
ECG recording
Blood Tests
Urine tests
Ear irrigation
Blood Pressure Checks
24 hour BP Monitor Fit
NHS Health Checks
Assist with coil fits
Assist with minor surgery
Chaperoning duties
Ordering medical supplies / dressing supplies /medications for drug cupboard
Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions including assisting our MDT Team during the performance of minor operations
Notifying the GP/PCN Lea of any significant patient issues
Sterilising, cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipment
Administration of the following injections/vaccines (with training)
B12
Pneumococcal
Seasonal Flu

Our PCN comprises of 49,348 patients over the six practices

Protect, improve, and extend local General Practice through greater organisational scale to provide convenient high quality, comprehensive and integrated services.
Enhance the skills and flexibility of the General Practice workforce to meet population and service needs with programmes of continuing professional development.
Work and collaborate with others to innovate in service provision, building on new technologies and recognising lifestyle choices of service users in the way in which they wish to access care.
