Job summary
We are looking for a Medical Coder to join our busy GP Practice taking responsibility for the coding of relevant information into our patients' healthcare records using the EMIS Web clinical system.
*** Please note that the interviews for this role will take place on the morning of Friday 11th April 2025***
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities include:
- Accurately read-coding data onto patient records
- Identifying clinical information, coding appropriately and completing detailed actions
- Scanning of patient documentation and attaching scanned documents to patients' healthcare records
- Amending and / or making additions to medical records to ensure that correct and complete information is each patients' electronic record
- Additional ad hoc tasks within the team as required
Previous experience in a medical setting is essential, along with these skills:
- Accurate with excellent attention to detail
- Organised and able to prioritise a busy and changing workload
- Experience of administrative work
- Flexible with a positive, can-do attitude
- Discrete and able to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
