Job summary

Working with the growing business development team here at Synnovis and the wider SYNLAB Group, we have an opportunity for a Sales Support Administrator as an integral part of the team.

This is a crucial role in supporting the sales team ensuring efficient communication to the whole team and customers alike, maintaining CRM records and providing administrative assistance.

The post holder needs to have exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask independently.

This is a hybrid role but travel to London and further afield on occasions will be expected to meet with the wider team.

The Business Development team builds relationships in varying areas of Pathology and finds solutions throughout the UK in SYNLAB Laboratories.

These are exciting times at Synnovis and the wider SYNLAB Group.

The post holder needs to have flexibility to duties and will report directly with the National Sales Manager

Main duties of the job

Respond to customer price requests and qualify whether they are a genuine business opportunity. Provide a handover of genuine opportunities to the appropriate business development manager.

Ensure the Synnovis CRM:

Reflects the current account naming and hierarchy setup with our data warehouse.

Ensure that all active contacts have full details associated with them.

Ensure GDPR Compliance

That opportunities are on the system / liaise with BD Managers

General CRM Administration / liaise with BD Managers

Create POs and provide monthly summary data.

Provide trend reporting for sales highlighting trends that business development managers should be aware of.

Daily monitoring of the tender portal, circulating relevant opportunities to the correct Business development manager, liaising with wider SYNLAB Tenders Team.

Support the organisation and setup of meetings together with booking the venue, providing travel details, agenda and taking minutes and actions from the meetings.

Flexibility to duties as and when required

Travel to offices in London and other meeting venues as and when required.

At Synnovis, we are currently shaping the future of pathology services by creating a world-leading Hub and Spoke pathology network with our NHS partners. A large part of this modernisation will involve moving 70% of our services to a purpose built, state of the art Hub laboratory in the heart of London. For now, the job you are applying for will be based at one of our hospital sites however, from 1 April 2024 our people and services will start to move to our Hub laboratory in Blackfriars, Southwark, SE1, with some work remaining in refurbished essential services laboratories across our hospital network, focusing on the rapid turnover of urgent tests. Currently our offices are based in Paris Garden, Blackfriars SE1, or Francis House, Southwark SE1 however at present these are temporary locations. We expect to move to new offices in the Hub building located in Blackfriars in 2024.
