Job summary
NEMS have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our team at PC24 in Kings Mill Hospital!
We are looking for Healthcare Assistants interested in Bank work. Being a Bank worker gives you flexibility to pick up shifts around your other commitments and only requires a minimum of 4 hours (average) per week. The majority of shifts will be during evenings and overnights.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not accept applications submitted outside NHS Jobs. Tier 2 (Skilled Worker) Sponsorship is not being offered for this role. You must have Right to Work in the UK to apply.

During Probationary Period:
- Base rate (Monday to Friday 08:00-20:00) - £11.83 p/h
- Evenings (Monday to Friday 20:00-00:00) £13.01 p/h
- Weekends (Saturday and Sunday 08:00-00:00) - £13.60 p/h
- Overnight (Monday to Sunday 00:00-08:00) - £15.73 p/h
- Bank holidays - £23.66 p/h
After Passing Probation:
- Base rate (Monday to Friday 08:00-20:00) - £12.36 p/h
- Evenings (Monday to Friday 20:00-00:00) - £13.60 p/h
- Weekends (Saturday and Sunday 08:00-00:00) - £14.21 p/h
- Overnight (Monday to Sunday 00:00-08:00) - £16.44 p/h
- Bank holidays (00:00-23:59) - £24.72 p/h

Main duties of the job
Healthcare Assistants at NEMS work as part of the team, providing clinical support to the multidisciplinary team and to assist other members of the team to ensure a high standard of patient care.
You will work under the supervision of a clinician and in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, as well as being responsible for performing specific duties including basic vital observations.
As a Healthcare Assistant at NEMS you will also undertake basic housekeeping duties as directed by the clinician in charge and have a flexible approach to shift patterns and service needs which may involve working in different areas or cross site working.
