Job summary
The Primary and Urgent Care Alliance have a vacancy for an experienced Paramedic Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team, focusing on providing high-quality care through supporting a Home Visiting Service in the Hastings and St Leonards area.
We are seeking to appoint a paramedic with a compassionate nature, who will play a crucial role in delivering patient-centred care in addressing both acute and preventative medical needs within the comfort of patients homes. We offer a nurturing and supportive environment where you will autonomously assess, diagnose, treat and evaluate a diverse range of patients and pathologies in adherence to local and national guidelines.
You will have the full support of a remote clinical team and care coordinator to discuss cases and learning, asking for advice and learning is greatly encouraged.
Main duties of the job
- To assist in a comprehensive home visiting service within the Hastings and St Leonards area, undertaking the visiting of patients that are unable to access their GP surgery.
- To assess, diagnose, treat, refer or direct patients to other services within the comfort of their own homes.
- Clinically examine and assess patient needs from a physiological and psychological perspective, and plan clinical care accordingly.
- Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic conditions, integrating both drug- and non-drug-based treatment methods into a management plan
- Demonstrate safe, clinical decision making, acting within your professional boundaries and qualifications.
- To promote self-care and empower patients to make informed choices about their health and treatment.
- Initiate and interpret tests and investigations as appropriate.
