Job summary

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Band 6 Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our professional, dynamic, and highly valued Paediatric Therapy Team in Exeter (at Vranch House School & Centre; 3 days) and/or split between Barnstaple (at Barnstaple Health Centre; 2 days) and Exeter (1 day).

Depending on experience, there may be scope to support the physiotherapy team at Honeylands/Exeter (0-3 years) and on the NNU wards in Exeter and/or Barnstaple.

Vranch House is a flourishing, well-respected charity with a large paediatric outpatient therapy service, providing Physiotherapy (0-18 years) and Occupational Therapy (5-18 years) across Mid-, East- and North Devon as well as a Special Needs School & Centre for children with complex physical difficulties (2-19 years). The charity is jointly commissioned by the local ICB and Devon County Council.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be responsible for their own, versatile clinical caseload, providing Physiotherapy assessments, advice and treatment to children (0-19 years), diagnosed with a variety of conditions (neuro, musculoskeletal, oncology, developmental delays etc.). Input is offered in the community as well as into mainstream educational settings (nurseries & schools) and/or special needs schools in Exeter and/or Barnstaple area.

Depending on the individual's strength and area of interest/speciality, there is scope to take on additional areas of work (e.g. NNU) and managerial aspects within the therapy team structure.

The successful candidate will work closely with other therapists/assistants/technicians and educational staff, employed by Vranch House, and the wider MDT and external stakeholders.

Whilst company cars are available, an own car and a full UK driving licence are required.
