Job summary
The post holder will be responsible by using their specialist knowledge, skills and experience in providing Dermatology care to undifferentiated patients attending the Dermatology and clinical staff management. They recruit and train new staff and provide ongoing support and performance management to the members of their team. They liaise with other Managers to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and work with patients to ensure that they have comprehensive care that meet their individual needs.
They will inform the strategic direction of the Dermatology Pathway regarding the continued development of Dermatology care. They will coordinate effective communication across the multi professional team, between departments and the community. They will provide specialist education and development for nursing staff and colleagues through education programmes, individual development programmes and clinical supervision. They will directly support the nursing team and clinicians to complete competency-based training programmes appropriate to their level.
They will promote excellence in nursing practice through the integration of expert clinical practice, education, consultancy, acting as a resource, developing practice and commitment to research and audit.
They will report to Senior Managers, providing data to help them plan and ensuring that there are adequate resources in place to meet demand. They also act as the first point of escalation for complaints and feedback.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including emotional intelligence to deal effectively with complex and sensitive patient information, distressed or aggressive patients, or those with an impaired level of understanding
Research, compile and agree protocols, guidelines and care pathways with the multi-disciplinary team for the nurse-led clinics and services.
Ability to liaise and communicate effectively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and other services.
Advise the Head of Operations and Quality Assurance Manager for Dermatology of any issues that may affect the provision of care/treatment of dermatology patients.
Effective line management skills someone who can motivate, engage, and manage team performance and service delivery.
