We are seeking an experienced Quality and Governance Manager to further develop and nurture Quality and Governance across the organisation on a full time, permanent basis. Main duties of the job

Passionate about contributing to DMC's Quality and Governance development across our Radiology, Dermatology & Endoscopy service and more widely across the organisation, enabling you to be involved in the decisions that affect our care delivery.

You must have a strong understanding of what takes to be a clinically safe and patient centred organisation and have a strong clinical governance understanding.

Working alongside our Chief Operating Officer, the Clinical Leadership team, and the Quality and Governance team, this position will provide youthe chance to drive our governance strategic and operational agenda and work across all services at DMCto support the delivery of excellent standards of quality, care and ensure robust governance processes areinplace.

We're searching for someone who has worked in a corporate environment that prioritises quality services,has expertise in risk, incident and complaints management, proven track record in achieving national accreditations, and has used data to steer their decision-making. The role will focus on the 7 pillars of governance.

The Quality and Governance Manager reports to our Chief Operations Officer and work very closely with our key Clinical Leads and Group Medical Director.

Core functions, but not limited to

You will have an overview of all business governance operations, managing and driving the Quality and Governance function to ensure an excellent professional, timely and commercially focused governance service is provided to managers, staff, patients, commissioners and other stakeholders.

You will need to develop a progressive Quality and Governance strategy which is aligned to our values, business plans and development of our organisation. Key areas to be covered include IPC and Safeguarding.

Leading on all areas of 7 pillars of governance and ensuring this is reflected in the Q&G strategy or the organisation: Education and Training, Clinical Audit, Clinical Effectiveness, Staff Management, Patient and Public Involvement, Risk Management (patients, practitioners and organisation) and Information Management.

Develop an accreditations strategy which ensures maintenance of our successfully achieve national accreditations for the organisation such as CE/CE+, DSPT, ISO27001, ISO9001, ISO14001 and Quality Standard for Imaging.

Support on the mobilisation of new services and existing and new services align to governance structures according to the type of service being delivered.

Promote the inclusivity and voice of patients and staff in the services we provide across DMC.

Collate and analyse quantitative and qualitative information on clinical practice and service, supporting implementation of good practice and quality improvements for patients.

Support the business development team with tenders and bid submissions

Actively support client management promoting and leading on the Q&G agenda section

Lead and promote a healthy and productive working environment focusing on a culture of wellness, engagement, and motivation.

Disseminating learning from various forms of feedback within the organisation to improve the quality of our services by supporting our teams, including a quarterly report.

Develop and deliver the organisations approach to risk management and supporting services to ensure risk is monitored and mitigations are appropriately identified.

Lead on our Information Governance requirements ensuring learning across the organisation liaise with our external DPO services team.

Ensure key governance and risk information is disseminated to relevant parts of the organisation.

Responsible for ensuring DMC and its services continually monitor, improve and meet our CQC obligations for high quality services. Develop CQC improvement plans and initiatives.

To support the Registered Managers in their responsibilities to CQC.

Governance team management and development.

Develop our annual quality account and annual report.

Management of the Q&G team.

Actively participate in and lead any governance meeting, such as the Audit Meeting.

Good working relationships with management team and all senior levels.

Responsible for policy management, ensuring they are kept up to date and in line with legislation.
