Job summary

We are looking for a delivery driven individual who can develop effective working relationships across DMC sites and contribute to all aspects of Data Quality to ensure our data is accurate, consistent and complete.

It is crucial that you have experience with EMIS, as well as previous experience in a similar position within Primary Care settings.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for managing and overseeing the quality of all data within the clinical system. To ensure regular audit and interrogation of the data, with the aim of maximising partnership income through the Quality & Outcomes Framework (QOF),Enhanced Services and other related income streams through the claims processes. To line manage the clinical services administration team.

Job responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities, but not limited to:

The following are the core responsibilities of the Data Quality Manager. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks. This will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels.

a) To monitor compliance and coordinate the partnerships performance against the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, maximising income.

b) To monitor compliance and coordinate the practices performance against the Primary Care Network Investment and Impact Fund (PCN IIF) on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, maximising income.

c) To monitor compliance and coordinate the partnerships performance against local and national enhanced services, vaccination & recall programs.

d) Be responsible for ensuring the compiling and submission of monthly, quarterly and annual claims.

e) To design & run searches, and prepare clinical information ready for audit and review by the clinical team, executive and wider practice team, on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

f) Develop, coordinate, implement and manage patient recall systems for all clinical disease areas and other appropriate conditions.

g) Monitor the quality of patient records and coded entries, flagging training needs where necessary.

h) To support the clinical team in identifying and targeting patients for assessment and treatment.

i) Manage and support seasonal and various health campaigns to increase patient uptake.

j) Support and work with the registrations & summarising team, clinical and management teams to identify areas for improvement in data quality.

k) Assist all the clinical team with the capturing of patient related data through the creation of templates, forms, and the use of 3rd party software.

l) Keep up to date with changes to QOF as required.

m) Communicate effectively by competent use of email, telephone, written and face-to-face communication.

n) Ensuring timely and accurate handling of messages / tasks, ensuring all unresolved or urgent matters are prioritised.

o) Adherence to all aspects of information governance, data protection and confidentiality policies.

p) To ensure the partnerships ongoing compliance with the CQCs (Care Quality Commission) essential standards of quality and safety.

q) Lead, design and implement a training programme for all staff members to maximise their use of the clinical system and any associated software.

r) To ensure all users of the clinical system and associated software comply with the Data Protection Act and GDPR regulations.

s) To work as an integral part of the management team, supporting all team members.

Secondary Responsibilities

In addition to the primary responsibilities, the Data Quality Manager will be requested to:

a) Attend meetings and liaise with other teams within the practice

b) Working closely with the Practice Manager and the Clinical Team, you will help to deliver services to the highest standards.

c) Act as a primary point of contact for NHS(E), CCG, community services, suppliers and other external stakeholders as defined by the Executive Team.
