Job summary

An exciting and highly remunerated permanent salaried GP role has arisen with the opportunity to be part of the Primary Care family within the established DHC GP Federation. This role is flexible in terms of prior experience and would suit a portfolio career.

This role is part time, 4 sessions on Thursday and Friday - we are unable to consider different working days at present.

Main duties of the job

The role is primarily based at Pond Tail Surgery in Godstone, working with a small, friendly, and professional practice team that provides high quality services to 7000 patients. You will be supported by experienced clinical lead GPs and will be part of a wider team of GPs, nurses and nurse practitioners and a growing team of allied healthcare professionals.

We believe that general practice is a fun and supportive NHS environment and we achieve this through highly developed systems and processes. We are keen to offer support and encourage personal development of all our staff and offer an in-house structured education program.

You will receive mentorship from experienced clinical leads and DHC directors to personalise your growth and learning. There will also be the unique opportunity to further develop a specialist clinical interest with consultant supervision through our wider portfolio of outpatient and community services.

About us

DHC GP Federation is a patient focused and pro-active community-based provider with strong links to all the GPs working within our Federation of 4 Primary Care Networks including 11 GP Practices across Surrey, from Epsom to South Tandridge.

We were awarded the contract to run Godstone GP Practice from 1st January 2022 and are looking to complement our team of clinicians and GPs working within the Practice. DHC has a strong commitment to delivering high quality community-oriented services, and to working in partnership with service users, carers, health and social care agencies and voluntary agencies.

This will be part of the wide range of health needs in a primary care setting that will ensure the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.

Qualifications

Essential

  • A qualified general medical practitioner whose name is included on the General Practitioner Register (Article 10 of the General and Specialist Medical Practice Article 2003).
  • Not subject to suspension under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983.
  • Evidence of CPD activities.

Desirable

  • Further postgraduate educational activities in relevant fields.
  • Evidence of keeping previous mandatory training up to date.

Experience

Essential

  • Recent proven previous experience of working within general practice in the UK or equivalent healthcare setting.

Desirable

  • Experience of using specific NHS patient databases or a willingness to learn.
  • Commitment to and experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary and skills mixed team environment.

Skills and Aptitudes

  • Enthusiastic and ''can do'' attitude, willing to participate in developing the services at Pond Tail.
