PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A PAY REVIEW PENDING
You
will join an experienced and well supported team working to maintain DHC Talking
Therapies excellent reputation within Surrey. You will be providing high volume
low intensity interventions. You will have the opportunity to have
a mix of virtual and on site work, including face to face, video/telephone, workshops
and computerised CBT appointments across your week.
You will receive high level case
management, clinical skills and group supervision, as well as regular line
management, daily duty support and excellent CPD opportunities (e.g. LTC top up
training, supervision training). You will be part of the service membership to
The CBT Resource, which offers access to a wealth of recorded and live CPD
opportunities to maintain your yearly accreditation, as well as supporting your
clinical development.
You will have the opportunity to
develop your clinical and leadership skills depending on your career goals.
This is supported through a structure preceptorship plan. You will be fully
supported to pursue skills development and career progression, and we offer a
range of opportunities within and outside of the PWP role.

Main duties of the job
For
this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
- A
qualification from an adult IAPT low intensity course for PWPs, accredited
by the BPS.
- Working
towards or received accreditation with the BABCP or BPS.
- Experience
of completing assessments and low intensity interventions with people who
have experienced a mental health difficulties, preferably in primary care.
- An
ability to be self-reflective, whilst working with service users, in own
personal and professional development and in supervision.
- Have
a suitable and safe working environment to work from home part of the week.
- Skills
to manage your own workload under pressure and meet agreed targets.
- Excellent
communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and develop
a good rapport with clients.
- An
ability to work within a team and foster good working relationships.

- Demonstrates a working knowledge and understanding of anxiety and depression and how it may present in Primary Care
- Demonstrate a good working knowledge of Low Intensity interventions and their use in treating common mental health problems
- Demonstrates a knowledge of the issues surrounding work and the impact it can have on mental health
- Knowledge of medication used in anxiety and depression and other common mental health problems
- Demonstrates an understanding for the need to use evidence based psychological therapies and how it relates to this post
- Able to write clear reports and letters.
- Worked in a service where agreed targets in place demonstrating clinical outcomes
- Ability to manage own caseload and time

- Experience of working in Primary Care Services
- Experience of delivering interventions in a variety of formats including Groups, telephone, face to face and online.
- Experience of supporting a champion role and raising awareness for communities less likely to access the service.
