We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard working Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team in the beautiful village of Godstone. Main duties of the job
The main responsibilities of this role include dealing with patient enquiries face to face, over the telephone and through our interactive website as well as communicating with GPs and other healthcare professionals to ensure that an efficient service is provided to our 7,000 patients. Daily administrative tasks will include booking appointments, issuing prescriptions, registering patients, managing the generic email inbox and scanning all incoming mail using the Docman software. We use the clinical system EMIS Web along with other applications such as AccuRx messaging.
This is a varied role offering training and development opportunities in house and across the wider DHC GP Federation. This role would be suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast paced environment where each day brings new challenges and successes.
About us
DHC is working at the centre of the local NHS health system to evolve and deliver integrated care and that requires strong partnerships with many organisations. In all of our services, we aim to put the patient at the centre of their care, make sure our services are easy to access by local patients and reduce waiting times for patients.
A can-do attitude is a vital asset at DHC and we are looking for like-minded individuals to work with us who share the same approach and work ethic.
GP practices have been brought together into Primary Care Networks (or PCNs) to offer services in the local community. There are four Primary Care Networks (PCN's): Dorking, Redhill Phoenix, South Tandridge and ICP. The PCNs are critical to the changing NHS and are the focal point of all locally developed planning and service delivery.
The contract for the surgery was taken over by DHC in January 2022 and has gone from strength to strength throughout this year. The team is growing rapidly with the addition of care coordinators, a clinical pharmacist, two clinical lead GPs and a new management team. We are a vibrant and friendly team who are devoted to delivering a high standard of healthcare to our patients.
In return DHC offers staff the following benefits:
- Competitive salaries
- We provide opportunities for training and career development.
- Membership of the NHS pension scheme and minimum of 27 days annual leave dependent on NHS continuous service, plus bank holidays
