Job summary

Do you share our passion for great patient care and making a difference?

Do you want career opportunities and great CPD opportunities?

DHC Talking Therapies is a successful, dynamic and growing service. We are looking for talented individuals to join our team and offer the opportunity to help us shape and develop the service as it expands and changes to meet the needs of our service users in a more integrated way of working in the community.

We have an excellent reputation for a quality and well-run service with great recovery rates as well as great clinical supervision, CPD and career opportunities.

Our hubs provide a great working environment. If a hybrid role is important to you, you can choose to work from home for up to 3 days a week: onsite allowance is an additional 2.5% of basic salary for every day worked on site per week.

We are looking to recruit motivated and passionate, professional counsellors to provide Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression interventions for a wide range of clients as part of our expanding NHS Talking Therapies service.

We will ensure you have a committed team to work with and support you. This includes reflective supervision, case management, clinical skills and group supervision, as well as regular line management, daily duty support and excellent CPD opportunities (e.g. PCE-CfD supervision training or other modalities including Couples Therapy for Depression).

Main duties of the job

You will be an enthusiastic, hard-working, positive individual and have a genuine interest in helping clients who have a range of moderate to complex depression related presentations for which PCE-CfD is demonstrated to be clinically effective.

The post-holder will work within the NHS talking therapies service providing high intensity interventions and will be a valued member of an ever growing, well supported team of therapists.

We actively encourage new ideas and support our therapists to develop innovative ways of working with clients. We offer a mix of 1:1 and group work.

Whilst this is an in person role, there is opportunity for some remote working if desired. On site working provides a friendly and supportive atmosphere, provides diversity in the role and ensures that all of our clients needs are met.

Ideally, we are looking for candidates seeking full time employment, but will consider part time for excellent candidates who can work a minimum of 3 days per week.

You must have full accreditation or professional registration with BACP, NCS, UKCP, BPS, AOC and/or BPS.

Please refer to the attached job description for the qualifications, competencies, skills and experience required for the role.
