Main duties of the job

The position entails identifying new service delivery opportunities in collaboration with Clinical Directors, member practices, and the GPN Senior Management Team. Responsibilities also include organizing an annual calendar of engagement activities in partnership with the Board Director responsible for Engagement, meeting member requirements and identifying project interdependencies.

The role requires collaborative leadership with the Senior Management Team to ensure alignment with GPN leadership goals, delivering projects on time, maintaining high work standards, and managing resources cost-effectively. It also involves expanding and optimizing a directory of services for practices, leading a team of Project Managers and support staff to execute project plans efficiently, and managing risks and interdependencies.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively build and maintain networks and relationships with member practices across the geography in order to support ongoing two-way engagement to understand their needs and how services can be developed at scale to support practices.

Work with each member practice to identify best practice, gaps and challenges to the practice and patient population.

Pro-actively manage and support members, respond to and resolve potential challenges when this arises through facilitation or other appropriate mechanisms.

Actively identify opportunities for new service delivery collaboratively with Clinical Directors, member practices and GPN Senior Management Team.

Deliver an annual calendar and schedule of engagement activities in collaboration with Board Director responsible for Engagement, ensuring that Member requirements of GPN are met, identifying interdependencies across projects/functions.

Work collaboratively with the Senior Management Team to both lead the team as part of a management group and also to ensure that GPN leadership is aligned.

Be responsible for a high standard of work supporting the delivery of projects on time, to quality standards and in a cost effective manner.

Maintain and expand a directory of offers to practices, including back office functions such as HR Consultancy, Information Governance and Data Quality.

Ensure and encourage the optimisation and utilisation of said offers by each member practice/PCN.

Lead a team of Project Managers and support staff in the delivery of project plans, allocating tasks as appropriate, identifying risks, issues and dependencies, considering best practice and current options and ultimately making decisions in the best interest of the programme and member practices.

Interpret risk and overall programme status: understand, anticipate and highlight risks, issues and actions; supporting early identification and proactive mitigation/resolution where possible; ensure prompt escalation of concerns where appropriate.

Work with system colleagues to identify synergies across projects and ensure work is not duplicated.

Ensure work is aligned and interdependencies and interfaces between projects and Delivery Groups are identified and managed.

Maintain the project documentation and associated plans with regular team meetings to monitor progress and resources.
