CIPHER Medical is a fast paced and dynamic provider of healthcare and clinical education and we are looking for qualified Emergency Care Assistant.
A blue light driving qualification is desirable, however it is not required; as successful candidates have the potential to be put through Emergency Driving training.
As an Emergency Care Assistant, your role will be supporting our frontline 999 contracts.
You will be an Emergency Care Assistant (ECA), with up to date knowledge and a demonstrable portfolio of continuing professional development.
You will be joining an experienced team with an excellent reputation for providing high-quality services, where you will be required to demonstrate the values of CIPHER Medical in order to continue to assist us to achieve our goal of "Delivering Clinical Care and Education with Distinction"

Main duties of the job

Within this role, you will be required to undertake the full range of ECA duties in line with CIPHER Medical's policies:
- Assisting the paramedic with a range of duties under their clinical supervision
- Record baseline observations and communicate them to lead clinician.
- Safe use of AED
- Basic airway management including insertion of OPAs
- Assists paramedic with managing advanced airway
- Ensures health, safety and welfare of patients and colleagues
- Is aware of safeguarding issues and reporting procedures as per CIPHER Medicals policies
- Completes vehicle daily inspections
- Appropriate use of airwaves radios

Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the vehicles are safe for operational duties, ensuring that the Infection Prevention and Control policy is adhered to.
- Ensure safe transport of patients in emergency and none emergency driving conditions.
- Working under direct supervision of Paramedic or Technician.
- To adopt the CIPHER Medical core values, fulfilling our vision and mission statements.

- In line with the CIPHER Medicals policy maintain appropriate standards of cleanliness of vehicles, equipment and station, completing documentation as required.
- Complete statutory and mandatory training and undertake CPD
- At all times exhibit standards of personal and professional conduct and performance
