Job summary
Role Summary:
The
Area Practice Manager will provide management support to the Practice
Management Teams of the surgeries managed by CGPN. They will support individuals in the team with
their professional development, developing good practice and confidence in
managing risk and informed, evidence-based decisions. Providing organisational
oversight, guidance and leadership to develop a cohesive practice management
structure across the GP practices led by CGPN. They will be directly supported
by the CGPN SMT.

Administrative Responsibilities:
Will
provide leadership & guidance to the Practice Management Teams
To have oversight of practice
achievement in QOF, IIF & Enhanced Services and work with the Practice Managers
to continually improve on this.
Ensure
efficient internal and external communication, including being the focal point
of contact between the practices and CGPN
To
provide integral leadership with CQC compliance
Encourage
respect, trust and wellbeing amongst the teams
Ensure
the Practices policies and procedures are comprehensive and follow national
best practice.
Liaison
with CGPN Senior Management Team and members of the Cambridge &
Peterborough ICB
To
monitor practice claims and to have an oversight of cost efficiencies
To
manage resources effectively
To
conduct 1:1 staff appraisals for the practice management team
To
have insight on ICB initiatives and ensure the practice management teams are
acting upon these in a timely fashion
Ensure
all Health & Safety statutory obligations and legislation are adhered to by
the practice management team
Attend
refresher and update training as required.
Act in
accordance with the CGPN rules and code of conduct

Renumeration: £42,500pa
Contract: 12month

- GCSE Maths and English Grade A- C (or equivalent
- Evidence of continuing personal development
- Knowledge of SystmOne/EMIS or other GP IT systems
- Knowledge of General Practice Management minimum 2 years
- Experience of managing within in General Practice.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to build relationships and work well with a diverse range of professionals and with the public
- A proven ability to deal effectively with difficult and contentious situations whilst maintaining positive working relationships
- Proven problem solving and be able to respond to sudden demands
- Excellent organisational skills
- Able to identify risk and anticipate issues and escalate appropriately
- Self-motivated and able to organise own workload with minimal supervision
- Confident in the use of Microsoft Office
