Job summary
Consultant Ophthalmologists with a subspeciality interest in Glaucoma are needed to support the strengthening and expansion of Primary Eyecare Services’ glaucoma models of care utilising optical practices in various models including virtual clinics.
We are looking for Consultant Ophthalmologists with a subspeciality interest in Glaucoma to lead and support our clinical team delivering triage of ophthalmic referrals and glaucoma monitoring.
This role is suitable for hybrid working, allowing the successful candidate to work remotely.
Main duties of the job
To provide ophthalmology oversight and clinical leadership across service pathways delivered by Primary Eyecare Services. Focussing on leading and supporting the development of clinical team delivering glaucoma and triage services.
This role would require you to lead and support regular peer review and MDT meetings with optometrists working within the triage and glaucoma services. This role would also require you to provide clinical opinion as required for ad hoc queries.
