Job summary
The Digital,
IT, and Transformation Lead will manage, maintain, and support existing
projects and infrastructure across the PCN, ensuring they continue to deliver
measurable benefits. The role will also involve scoping, planning, and
delivering new initiatives, with a strong emphasis on enhancing digital
capabilities and optimising IT systems.
In addition,
the role will provide hands-on IT support to practices within the network,
resolving day-to-day issues, supporting the use of digital tools, and ensuring
systems are optimised for efficiency, security, and patient benefit. The
position will balance operational IT support with strategic digital
transformation, underpinned by a quality improvement methodology.
Main duties of the job
Transformation
Projects
Oversee & maintain the delivery of existing
transformation projects ensuring sustainability & ongoing benefits.
Scope, plan, & implement transformation
initiatives, working with clinical & management teams to ensure alignment
with PCN priorities.
Monitor & evaluate the outcomes of transformation projects, producing reports & recommendations for improvement;
present findings to stakeholders at PCN meetings
Draft & prepare reports to support financial
claims and ensuring timely submission to the
Integrated Care Board
IT Support & Infrastructure
Act as the first point of contact for IT queries
within the PCN, providing hands-on technical support to practices.
Troubleshoot & resolve software issues promptly to minimise disruption.
Liaise with our external IT supplier to escalate & resolve more complex issues.
Ensure implementation of systems complies with NHS
England, GDPR & cybersecurity requirements.
Training & Digital Capability
Provide training &guidance to staff on the use
of clinical systems, digital tools & IT processes.
Ensure all staff receive induction on the PCNs IT systems & digital
resources.
Develop & maintain user guides, FAQs & knowledge resources for practices.
Data & Reporting
Support practices in using business intelligence
tools to extract, interpret & act on data.
Promote high standards of data quality & integrity across the network.
