Job summary

Are you a newly qualified GP looking for an exciting and supportive role to launch your career? Greenwich PCN Alliance Ltd is looking for for applicants interested in 4-6 sessions per week to work in a PCN within Greenwich. You will be a highly motivated and dedicated newly qualified GP to join our multidisciplinary team under the NHS Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS)

Main duties of the job

You will have excellent clinical & communication skills & must hold MRCGP. You will deliver quality patient care. In accordance with the Practice timetables, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations & queries, home visits, checking & signing repeat prescriptions & dealing with queries, paperwork & correspondence in a timely fashion

Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation.

Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated & undiagnosed problems.

Screening patients for disease risk factors & early signs of illness.

In consultation with patients & in line with current Practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health.

Providing counselling and health education.

Admitting or discharging patients to & from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate.

Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.

Collecting data for audit purposes.

Compiling & issuing computer-generated acute & repeat prescriptions.

Prescribing in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary whenever this is clinically appropriate.

In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

Greenwich PCN Alliance is formed of 4 PCNs across Greenwich, Blackheath and Charlton PCN, Eltham PCN, Heritage PCN and Unity PCN. A successful candidate will be allocated to one PCN and will work across that PCN only. At Greenwich PCN Alliance we are committed to the development of ARRS roles.

All staff will be required to partake and complete mandatory training as directed by the training coordinator, as well as participating in the PCN training programmes. Collaborative working

All staff are to recognise the significance of collaborative working. Team work is essential in multidisciplinary environments. Effective communication is essential and all staff must ensure that they communicate in a manner which enables the sharing of information in an appropriate manner.

Service delivery

Staff at Greenwich PCN Alliance must adhere to the information contained within practice/PCN policies and regional directives, ensuring that protocols are adhered to at all times. Staff will be given detailed information during the induction process regarding policy and procedure.

At Greenwich PCN Alliance, staff are required to dress appropriately for their role. Administrative staff will be provided with a uniform whilst clinical staff must dress in accordance with their role.

Leave
