Job summary

At gtd healthcare, our People Services (HR) Team has grown year on year, and in order to continue providing an excellent people service to our business, we are looking to recruit a Senior People Advisor on a fixed term contract.

The senior people advisor is a temporary addition to the people operations function to provide short term support.

The Senior People Advisor will report into the People Business Partners and will be responsible for providing advanced people operations support to the business, covering end to end processes such as employee relations, organisational change and absence management.

The post holder will be required work flexibly, including travel to other sites when required, and collaborate with other colleagues in the People Services team, including proactively identifying areas for service improvement.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide excellent advice and guidance to employees & line managers on day-to-day people issues in line with Company policies and procedures.
  • Autonomously manage employee relations issues, including disciplinary, and grievance. This will include advising on the process, attending and taking notes at meetings and ensuring that consistent outcomes are given at all meetings where possible.
  • Oversee the effective management of sickness absence cases by advising and supporting in accordance with absence management policies and the Equality Act, liaising as appropriate with Occupational Health and attending meetings as required.
  • Support service restructures and TUPE processes, including managing consultation processes, changing terms and conditions, and redundancy, in accordance with policy and employment legislation.
  • Support managers to maintain a high standard of employee performance by advising on performance management processes, attending formal performance review meetings and ensuring probationary reviews take place in a timely manner.
  • Take opportunities to coach people managers to improve on their people management practices.
  • Support the people business partners in reviewing, updating and introducing policies & procedures in line with employment legislation.
  • Promote diversity, equality and inclusion as part of the culture of the organisation.
