Salaried GP £90,500 to £100,750 per annum £10,560 to £11,194 per session + up to £20,000 joining and retention payment.
Elmwood Medical Centre is situated in the idyllic town of Buxton, Derbyshire on the doorstep of the Pavilion gardens. We are looking for two experienced Salaried GP's to join our practice team.
The successful candidates will be passionate about making a positive difference to patient care, provide leadership roles to grow the practice & drive quality initiatives and be an integral part of our practice team and future medical leadership.
The practice has a list size of approximately 7000 patients and would involve collaboratively working within the wider high peak PCN, our care homes and our community services. You will be part of a busy and proactive team working alongside fellow GPs and clinical colleagues, practice management and wider organisational team. The practice has a multidisciplinary team to support the GPs, including ACPs, Practice Nurses, Pharmacist, HCA and ARRS funding roles such as MSK & Mental health practitioners.
We are a flexible working organisation and would consider a number of sessions / hours between the core practice opening hours of 8am 6.30pm Tuesday to Friday.
Main duties of the job
You will provide routine and urgent clinical care for both acute and
long term conditions working to local and national guidelines. The daily
clinical workload is split equally amongst all clinicians with additional
workload kept to a minimum by our excellent care navigation team, who work hard
to signpost to the most appropriate of our extensive local community services.
The acute home visit demand on the practice is generally low and often managed by our
and PCN Home Visiting team, however there are supportive measures required and you
may be required to carry out visits occasionally. Proactive care home ward round visiting may be required and is supported by our ANP.
You will attend and play an active role in regular practice & clinical meetings
along with safeguarding and GSF MDT meetings. Opportunities to be included in PCN network meetings within Denton & Droylsden are also available.
You will be expected to work with the team to continually strive to
improve standards of care and, in particular, achieve QoF targets and KLOE
objectives as outlined by CQC.
You will be expected to participate in ongoing personal and professional
development keeping up to date with appraisal and GMC requirements for
licensing. We have an academy team which release training opportunities both internal and external along with practice closure usually every 3rd Thursday afternoon for training.

- Provide high quality and current evidence based medical care to the patients of the Medical Practice and, where necessary and relevant, patients from other gtd healthcare managed services.
- Provide all GP services required as part of the GMS contract held between gtd healthcare and commissioners.
