Lindley Medical Practice Salaried GP £90,500 to £100,750 / £10,056 to £11,194 per session
gtd healthcare is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated salaried GP to join our growing practice in Oldham. Lindley Medical Practice is situated within the busy Integrated Community Services Hub in Oldham. The practice is a 20-30 minute commute from Greater Manchester / Yorkshire areas and is close to M60/M62. The practice has a list size of approx 3500 patients and would involve collaboratively working within the wider Oldham central PCN and our community services.
We're looking for a GP, experienced or newly qualified who can job share with our existing salaried GP 4 sessions / 18 hours per week on Thursdays & Fridays between the practice core hours of 8am 6.30pm. You need to be passionate about making a positive difference to patient care, provide leadership to grow the practice & drive quality initiatives and contributing towards building on our Good CQC rating. The practice is currently a registered training practice and we do offer development support to the successful GP who is wishing to undertake this role. The practice has a multidisciplinary team approach with ACP, Practice Nurse & HCAs.

Main duties of the job
You will provide routine and urgent clinical care for both acute and
long term conditions working to local and national guidelines. The daily
clinical workload is split equally amongst all clinicians with additional
workload kept to a minimum by our excellent care navigation team, who work hard
to signpost to the most appropriate of our extensive local community services.
The acute home visit demand on the practice is generally low and often managed by our
and PCN Paramedic team, however there are supportive measures required and you
may be required to carry out visits occasionally. Proactive care home ward round visiting may be required and is supported by our ANP.
You will attend and play an active role in regular practice & clinical meetings
along with safeguarding and GSF MDT meetings. Opportunities to be included in PCN network meetings within Denton & Droylsden are also available.
You will be expected to work with the team to continually strive to
improve standards of care and, in particular, achieve QoF targets and KLOE
objectives as outlined by CQC.
You will be expected to participate in ongoing personal and professional
development keeping up to date with appraisal and GMC requirements for
licensing. We have an academy team which release training opportunities both internal and external along with practice closure usually every 3rd Thursday afternoon for training.

Provision of care & service delivery
- Provide high quality and current evidence based medical care to the patients of the Medical Practice and, where necessary and relevant, patients from other gtd healthcare managed services.
- Provide all GP services required as part of the GMS contract held between gtd healthcare and commissioners.
- Undertake all necessary and relevant paperwork associated with the provision of medical services.
- Operate as part of a wider networked clinical team with partner practices for peer development, peer support and provision of relevant services.
- Undertake surgeries during extended hours in accordance with the access needs of the practice population and the contractual obligation of the practice.
- Provide support to other clinical professionals within the practice, e.g. advanced nurse practitioner, practice nurses.
Clinical and service development
- Support the achievement of QOF targets, taking a lead on a specific clinical area where appropriate.
- Actively participate in the development of services in the practices that meet the needs of the practices patient population and maximise the opportunities of new enhanced services.
- Work as an integral member of the practice team, contributing to the efficient and effective running of the practice.
- Support, where necessary, the implementation of change within the practice.
- Undertake clinical audits as required.
- Participate in individual and practice reviews as a part of incident or complaints management process.
Development and training
- Participate in an ongoing personal and professional development programme including annual appraisal and supervision.
- Ensure that mandatory training is completed within agreed timescales.
- Where appropriate, undertake the north west deanery basic trainers course and work with the practice and management teams to either enable practice training status to be achieved or maintain training status.
