We are looking to welcome an experienced Registered Nurse/ODP to join our
friendly team.
We are a private JAG accredited community endoscopy centre specialising in diagnostic
gastrointestinal endoscopy. We are a well established Centre and currently undertake approximately 7500 endoscopies per year. All our referrals are direct NHS referrals from the General Practitioners across Mid and South Essex ICB.
We are looking for a caring, motivated and
enthusiastic individual who will work as part of a hard working dedicated team providing high quality, individualised patient care.
We carry out the following procedures within the community setting: Diagnostic gastroscopy, Diagnostic colonoscopy and polypectomy, Diagnostic flexible sigmoidoscopy, Rectal Bleeding Clinic: flexible
sigmoidoscopy proctoscopy and
banding of haemorrhoids.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be motivated and organised with excellent communication skills and willing to be flexible to meet the demands of the endoscopy centre. You will work as part of the team providing excellent patient centred care in a clinically effective and compassionate way to ensure a positive experience for our patients.
You will rotate through the different areas of the endoscopy centre: admission, procedure rooms and recovery. We have dedicated decontamination staff within the centre. You will be expected to participate in your professional development and attend relevant courses as and when required.
About us
We have a dedicated clinical team comprising of the Consultant Gastroenterogists and Consultant Colorectal Surgeons, Endoscopy Nurses, ODP's, Healthcare Assistants and a Decontamination Team. The clinical team are supported by an administrative team responsible for bookings, list utilisation and communication of results to GP's.
We undertake diagnostic procedures only enabling us to focus on providing an excellent, high quality service that has recently achieved JAG accreditation.
