Welcome to FCMS!

We are looking for an enthusiastic finance professional to join the FCMS Finance Team. This role is central to the relationship between operations and the finance function, and your remit will be exciting and impactful business partnering. Youll work closely with the business units across FCMS to bring the numbers to life, provide financial support and analysis and challenge existing processes. Through collaboration with other members of the finance team youll assist in driving a programme of continuous improvement. To excel in this role, you will be proactive with a natural ability to problem solve. There is potential for a study package to be provided for the right candidate.

Location: Blackpool (with occasional travel to our other sites and potential for hybrid working)

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Salary: £28,000 £34,000 Dependant on experience and qualifications

Job responsibilities

Key Objectives and Responsibilities:

Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with Company policies, Finance Standard Operating Procedures (FSOP) and UK Accounting Standards.

Oversee the preparation of the monthly Management Accounts.

Produce accurate and timely Management Financial Summarys for each of the services.

Support the Head of Finance in preparing accurate information and Monthly commentary to the Board.

Facilitate regular reviews with designated budget holders/deputies, supporting them to understand and optimise their Financial Performance and sustainability.

Support budget and monitoring activities including cost reviews, planning and forecasting.

Simplify complex situations and present financial data clearly so that department heads can understand, engage with it and make informed decisions.

Collaborate with other members of the finance team to drive greater efficiency within the finance function by identifying and improving processes.

Provide accurate analysis to aid decision making.

Assist in maintaining a clean and fully reconciled balance sheet.

Assist in internal and external audits.

Liaise with any other third parties as required.

Undertake any other ad hoc duties that may arise with the requirements of the Finance team.

Strong communication skills with experience of effective communication internally with

business managers as well as externally with customers and suppliers.

Excellent attention to detail with previous experience in a Management Accounts role.

Experience of complying with Financial Operating Procedures.

Ability to contribute positively to the effectiveness and efficiency of the teams in which you

have worked.

Advanced Excel skills.

Previous working knowledge and use of SAGE accounting software is desirable.

There is potential for a package of study support to be provided for the successful candidate which can be agreed at offer stage, or applied for at a later date and will be considered on an individual

basis.
