Job summary

Come and join our frontline team working on the reception desk at out Same Day Health Centre and urgent Treatment Centre, being the first point of contact for patietns coming into our services

Main duties of the job

  • To provide a professional and high quality reception service for the Doncaster Same Day Health Centre and/or the Urgent Treatment Centre/out of hours service.
  • To greet patients and process information received accurately
  • To be able to gather information received from patients accurately and concisely
  • To be able to assess deterioration of patients in the waiting room
  • Ensuring full patient confidentiality at all times

To despatch Emergency Clinical Practitioner jobs to the necessary vehicle/clinician, taking into account location and work load.

To work closely with clinicians and establishing priority if needed in busy periods.

To complete daily checks whilst on duty, ensuring clinical rooms are tidy and fully stocked

  • To work effectively under pressure in a calm and confident manner
  • To maintain a consistent, quality and professional service
  • To work individually or as part of a team
  • To undertake all relevant training consistent with the requirements of the post
  • To be able to work evenings, weekends, overnights and bank holidays

OVERVIEW OF ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES:

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exemption Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. This will require three forms of valid ID to be produced and verified. The onboarding process is also subject to an Occupational Health check, suitable professional references and eligibility to work in the UK (with the requirement to provide relevant documentation as evidence).
