Trent Psychological Therapies Service is the largest provider of IAPT services across Derbyshire. We have a long history of providing life-enhancing, meaningful support to clients across Derbyshire and were one of the very first IAPT services in the East Midlands.

Main duties of the job

As a qualified CBT Therapist, you will be at the forefront of the important work we do, delivering exceptional, evidence-based interventions to clients at Step 3. You will apply your clinical expertise to assess and support clients through their treatment plan, working in partnership colleagues at Steps 2 and 3, external support services and our specialist Employment Advice team.

At all times, you will be supported by a dedicated clinical leadership team, experienced administration teams and safeguarding specialists, to provide an effective, high-quality experience for your clients. You will have the opportunity to engage in extensive CPD to enhance your skills and support your accreditation going forward.

Please note, as part of this role you will be required to work one late clinic (up until 8pm) per week.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of treating a wide range of psychological disorders using CBT Experience of working autonomously
  • Experience of conducting mental health assessments and risk assessments Experience of implementing Stepped Care
  • Experience of collating and recording clinical outcomes
  • Engagement in an ongoing CPD CBT programme (including recent attendance at CBT conferences or training)
  • Evidence of receiving regular & recent post registration Clinical Supervision in CBT

Desirable

  • Post registration clinical experience.
  • Clinical experience of working within a Multidisciplinary Team
  • Experience of treating complex conditions and or Axis 2 disorders
  • A basic understanding of other Psychological treatment modalities
  • In depth knowledge of at least one area of CBT practice
  • Knowledge of UK benefits and employment systems

  • Post graduate Qualification in CBT
  • BABCP accreditation
  • Evidence of ongoing Professional Development in CBT
