Job summary

The Trent PTS Training Programme provides qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners with a bespoke development pathway, designed to enhance their skills as Cognitive Behavioural Therapists.

Our CBT Training Programme aims to provide a clear development pathway for Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to develop their CBT practice. Drawing on the skills and experience gained at Step 2, this training programme combines academic study, clinical practice and bespoke learning sessions, to equip our trainees with the knowledge, interventions and theory to succeed.

Main duties of the job

You will join the team as Senior PWP, working with clients at Step 2 whilst you familiarise yourself with service. Once you are settled, you will begin your CBT training, dividing your working week between clinical practice in one of our bases (four days per week) and academic study at the University of Derby (one day per week).

  • Qualified PWP
  • Minimum of 18 months post registration clinical experience.
  • Relevant degree (or can demonstrate academic equivalence)
  • Full driving licence
  • Car owner/driver

Desirable

  • Post registration qualification in clinical practice
  • Professional Development training in Cognitive Behavioural interventions

Experience

Essential

  • Post registration clinical experience (PWP)
  • Substantial clinical experience of conducting mental health assessments, triage, delivering
  • clinical interventions and monitoring clinical outcomes
  • Experience of high level mental health and safeguarding assessments.
  • Experience of working autonomously
  • Management of own clinical caseload
  • Experience of working in Primary care settings
  • Experience of receiving regular Clinical Supervision
