Job summary
Responsibilities will include: Provide triage where required Provide complete consultations with assessment, treatment and management of patients of all ages presenting with primary care problems at the GP Urgent Care Hub Record full clinical notes using the GP Urgent Care Hub IT systems Complete all admin work relating to consultations Work as part of the wider clinical team- supporting Nurse Practitioners, HCAs, and GP colleagues and training Doctors Support and guide streamers to make informed decisions that align with patient care and contractual obligations, providing assistance when needed and ensuring a balanced approach to both. Manage referrals of patients on to acute specialities, A&E or community services where required Support the redirection of patients to their registered GP To be successful in this role, you will require the following: Full registration with the GMC; Appropriate qualification to practice medicine in the UK; Completion of GP vocational training or equivalent (MRCGP); Registered on a ICB Principle or Performers List with no restrictions on practice as a GP; 1+ years experience working in general practice; Experience using the EMIS Clinical System. Location: GP Urgent Care Hub, University Hospital Lewisham. Hours: 4 sessions per week (16 hours per week)
Main duties of the job
One Health Lewisham has a great opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our growing team at the GP Urgent Care Hub in University Lewisham Hospital on a permanent basis. The GP will deliver care of the highest clinical standards, working in conjunction with the Urgent Care Hub Clinical Lead, and Service Manager, ensuring the overall performance of the Urgent Care Hub.
