Job summary

We are seeking a professional and proficient Facilities Manager to join our experienced Property Team. 

This role will focus on the delivery of the managed services to the Cockermouth Community Hospital & Health Centre and Cleator Moor Health Centre. Both buildings are part of the NHS LIFT initiative. LIFT buildings bring together a diverse range of community and primary healthcare services, alongside related local authority and voluntary sector service provisions.

Main duties of the job

Be an integral part of our experienced Property Team taking responsibility for managing and supporting the delivery of soft and hard facilities management services across two NHS healthcare premises. Due to the nature of the post, the role is primarily site based within the NHS premises to ensure that the services are delivered to the highest standards. 

You will be intrinsic to ensuring that focused customer orientated services are delivered to the facilities whilst maintaining excellent relationships and providing timely resolution to operational issues that may occur.

This post will interact closely with the Head Tenant, the tenants, contractors, members of the public and other stakeholders in delivering and facilitating a diverse range of facilities management services supporting the local health services.

* Hard facilities management (HFM) services which includes planned preventative maintenance, repairs and maintenance, statutory and mandatory activities, lifecycle / asset condition and minor works;

* Centre management services, in partnership with the Head Tenant, to ensure the seamless coordination and facilitation of soft facilities management (SFM) services (building cleaning, window cleaning, security, bookable space, car parking, visitor management etc) to the defined service standards;

* Undertaking the site Responsible Person role for specific activities such as fire evacuation and bomb threats, liaising with emergency services as necessary;

* Overseeing contractors’ safe systems of working, including site induction / familiarisation, ensuring the site always maintains the highest health and safety standards;

* Acting as a point of contact for building users and visitors including dealing with compliments and complaints to agreed procedures; and

* Facilitation of site based audits, contract meetings, tenant meetings and Building User Groups.
