Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic speech and language therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team to deliver a person-centred therapy service to adults with acquired communication and swallowing problems. We are seeking a dynamic therapist to join our developing team of Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Psychologists and Nurses at All Hallows, Suffolk. All Hallows is part of the Oakleaf Group, a leading provider of specialist brain injury inpatient rehabilitation services.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be working with a range of neurological conditions including stroke, traumatic brain injury and degenerative conditions and acquired disorders of communication and swallowing and will have knowledge of the physical, psychological, behavioural and emotional consequences of disability. You will be expected to manage your own defined caseload and in conjunction with other members of the therapy team, use evidence based/client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. You will provide direct speech and language interventions, as well as give advice to clients, their families and relevant staff on the management of communication and dysphagia.

You must have a degree or a post graduate diploma in Speech and Language Therapy Be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) Experience in working with mental Health Needs Have alicenceand access to own transport. Be a strong team player. Have excellent communication,organisationaland time management skills
