Job title: Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist
Salary Range £51,000 pro rata
Permanent: Full time, Flexible working (part time can be considered)

Main duties of the job
To provide qualified psychology input to the Multi-Disciplinary Team and service users; providing highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and treatment. To offer advice and consultation on service users psychological care to non-psychology colleagues and to other professionals.
To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the Departments policies and procedures. To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the Department.

Are you an ambitious psychologist looking for a new challenge, career development and a competitive salary?
Cedar Houseis a specialist secure hospital for adults with learning disabilities and autism. Working in close partnership with our NHS colleagues. Cedar House is an important part of the ICS provision for neurodevelopmental disorders across the 3 Counties of Kent Sussex and Surrey. So your new role will be extremely important in shaping the healthcare landscape for this group across a large area. Our aim is to minimise the use of hospital treatment and psychology is pivotal for success.
We are looking for a Psychologist who is passionate about supporting to adults with learning disabilities and autism, helping them fulfil their aspirations. We are committed to person centred care and the transforming care agenda, their daily living skills.
You will support Psychology Department at Cedar House Hospital, shaping and developing the existing framework to deliver high quality assessment and treatment. As a member of the MDT at Cedar House you will shape the care culture and treatment systems in line with the NHS Improvement Standards and the NHS Long Term Plan.
Your direct clinical work will be interesting and challenging. You may have a special interest in the treatment of forensic issues, challenging behaviour, autism or mental health comorbid with learning disability. There are ample opportunities for join working with colleagues at the Tarentfort Centre and for research and development in this highly specialised clinical area. Clinical supervision and support will be provided by our Head of Psychology within Specialist Services at CareTech.
