Job responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Talking Therapies Team in the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) area for an Interpersonal Psychotherapist (IPT) High Intensity Therapist.

The role will be to provide high intensity IPT interventions recommended by NICE to clients with moderate to severe common Mental Health Disorders. You will hold a full caseload and provide a 70/30 split between clinical and non-clinical time, working with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Qualification from IPT Approved course (IAPT Approved)
  • IPT accreditation or eligibility for IPT accreditation (eg IPT UK)
  • Experience of working in mental health services
  • Demonstrate experience of working in Talking Therapies services.
  • Willingness to travel, which may include overnight stays on occasion, as and when required

Desirable:

Qualified to deliver any of the following:

  • Supervision
  • CBT
  • EMDR
  • Interpersonal Psychological Therapy, Talking Therapies Couples therapy for depression.
  • Worked in a service where agreed targets in place demonstrating clinical outcomes
  • Knowledge of IAPTUS
