Job summary

We are looking for enthusiastic, compassionate Advanced Practitioners who can be from a Nursing or Paramedicine background, that have experience in Primary and/or Urgent care and are educated to an advanced level of practice with the ability to work autonomously

Main duties of the job

We are offering locum & contracted roles with a mixture of, Telephone Assessments (on-site and home working), Face-to-Face Clinics and Home Visiting.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Responsibilities

Ø Will work autonomously within a health care team consisting of Shift Managers, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, GP’s, Drivers, Call Handlers and Receptionists.

Ø The composition of this team will vary from shift to shift and Advanced Clinical Practitioners must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with all staff members.

Ø Be clinically competent to deal with patients of all ages, of a diverse nature managing all clinical presentations

Ø Will be required to use a multi skilled approach. Whilst using the available technology, the ACP will use effective listening and communication skills and patient records in order to make clinical decisions

Ø Must be able to retrieve and use information regarding healthcare provision in the patient’s locality, allowing appropriate referral where necessary.

Experience:

Ø Experience of working autonomously diagnosing and treating patients

Ø Experience in Paediatrics & mental health assessment

Ø Experience of telephone triage

Ø Experience of working as a practitioner in a primary care environment, Emergency Department, Urgent Care/Treatment Centre, MAU/EAU or other first contact setting

Ø Evidence of comprehensive history taking and assessment skills.

  • Fully Registered Adult nurse
  • Fully Registered pharmacist
  • Fully Registered Paramedic
  • Must have completed an MSc in Advanced Clinical practice or be on the pathway.

  • Non-medical prescribing
  • minor illness/injury
  • Advancing clinical practice

Desirable
