Job summary
The Barnet GP Federation is seeking a dynamic leader
to manage its operations and support the Chair and Board engage with member
practices, system partners, stakeholders and patient groups.
The successful candidate will be a proven team
builder with effective inter-personal skills and a track record of delivering
results.
The Federation currently has a small clinical
services portfolio of c.£1.5m however, the majority of its turnover relates to
supporting PCNs and GP Practices, and hosting the Barnet Training Hub. Increasingly the role of the Federation is
focused on supporting PCNs and practices provide clinical services, and primary
care development in collaboration with the Training Hub.
The Federation will be a virtual organisation from
October 2023 when it moves out of its headquarters, so the General Manager
will need to have strong communication skills and the ability to enthuse team
working and develop effective relationships remotely. There will however, be the requirement to
attend occasional meetings as required in Barnet and potentially other parts of
North Central London.

Main duties of the job
The role will cover all aspects of general management including planning, finance, performance and HR, to clinical service delivery and supporting the Board to develop strategies.

Barnet Federated GPs CIC is a not for profit organisation, putting GPs and healthcare professionals at the forefront of Primary Healthcare provision in Barnet. The Federation supports the developing Primary Care Services being delivered in Barnet as well as its Primary Care Networks and 50 GP practices across the borough.
