Primary Care Network 2 (PCN 2) based in North Barnet comprises of 12 separate Member GP Practices working together to provide excellent patient care, to a population of just over 103,000.
PCN 2 has a fantastic opportunity for an Physician Associate (PA) to join their team on a full-time basis or part time will be considered. If you are a well organised person who thrives on a busy working environment where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job
A a Physician Associate (PA) working as part of the primary care team, the post holder will provide highly specialist advice for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. Demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients being treated. Demonstrate critical thinking in the decision-making process.
Under the supervision of a GP, they will work collaboratively as part of the primary care team and provide highly specialist advice to meet the needs of patients, and their relatives/carers, while at all times working within the agreed policies and procedures supporting the way care is provided. Authority to assess and treat will be granted in line with demonstrated skills and competencies.
At no time will the post-holder work outside the limits of authority granted. Mentorship and supervision will be provided by a designated GP at all times.

- Postgraduate Diploma / masters in Physician Associate Studies from an accredited UK University
- Bachelors degree in Life Science/Biomedical/Nursing or Allied Health Science
- Member of Faculty of Physician Associate Managed Voluntary Register (PAMVR)
- Valid national certification and recertification every six years stipulated by PAMVR
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development activities
Desirable
- Intermediate or Advanced Life Support
- Member of Physician Associate Managed Voluntary Register
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development activities
- Independent Prescriber
Experience

- Experience of conducting clinical audit
- Evidence of continual learning and development
