Main duties of the job
Public Health Haringey aims to improve and protect the health and wellbeing of the local population with an emphasis on reducing health inequalities. As part of this mission, Haringey GP Federation has secured grant funding from the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) to pilot Workplace NHS Health Checks in local workplaces. This role is crucial to delivering the pilot program aimed at spotting early signs of cardiovascular disease (CVD) among working individuals and supporting them to reduce their risk of serious health issues.
The Employee Engagement Lead will play a critical role in driving the success of the Workplace NHS Health Check Program by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with local employers. The primary responsibility of this role is to increase employee participation in the health check program, ensuring that the service reaches its target population effectively. This role also involves coordinating health check sessions, participating in mini Health Checks, providing health education, and ensuring that the program meets its engagement and health outcome goals.
The post holder will work closely with our Health Care Assistant team and the Service Manager to deliver on key national and local strategies to reduce unwarranted variation in the physical health

Ensure that all logistical aspects of the health check sessions are efficiently managed,including equipment setup, participant flow, and post-check follow-up procedures
Develop and maintain partnerships with local employers across various sectors, targeting a minimum of 30 local employers to participate in the Workplace NHS Health Check Program.
Act as the primary point of contact for employers, addressing any queries and promoting the benefits of the program to increase employee participation.
Design and implement engagement strategies to encourage employee participation in the NHS Health Check Program, utilising both in-person and digital communication methods.
Ensure all communications are clear, jargon-free, and tailored to the audience, providing information about the importance of health checks and how they contribute to long-term health and well-being.
