Main duties of the job
As a dedicated and passionate Stop Smoking Advisor, you will play a vital role in helping individuals quit smoking and improve their overall health and well-being.

Job responsibilities
Conducting one-on-one consultations
with participants to assess their smoking habits, readiness to quit, and
individual needs.
Developing personalized quit plans
tailored to each client's goals and preferences.
Providing ongoing support and
encouragement to clients throughout their quit journey.
Delivering evidence-based smoking
cessation interventions and techniques, including counselling, behavioural
therapy, and pharmacotherapy recommendations.
Monitoring and evaluating client
progress, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure successful quit attempts.
Collaborating with other healthcare
professionals and community organizations to promote smoking cessation
initiatives and resources.
Maintaining accurate records of
client interactions and program outcomes
Liaise with
professionals including GPs and primary care staff to promote and generate
referrals to the service.

Qualifications
Essential
- GCSE English Language at a minimum of a Grade B (or equivalent Level 2 qualification). OR achievement of a Level 2 in Literacy Assessment at interview stage.
- A minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma
Desirable
- Recognised professional qualification in health or social care, a degree in a relevant subject or equivalent level of experience
- Certification as a Tobacco Treatment Specialist (TTS) or equivalent qualification.
Experience
Essential
- Experience of working effectively in a team
- Demonstrable experience of delivering high quality customer service.
Desirable
- Previous experience in smoking cessation counselling
