Main duties of the job
NCL Training Hub is aiming to recruit an experienced Primary Care Nurse with a passion and flair as an Educator & Facilitator to be an NCL Borough Nurse Lead for Enfield.
The post holder will play a key role in supporting nurses working in primary care in Enfield to enhance the nursing contribution within GP practices and in raising the profile of primary care nursing both in the borough and across NCL.
This is an exciting opportunity for a GPN interested and committed to supporting other nurses who may be new to general practice as well as supporting our existing and valued nurses nurse associates and health care assistants to access training, development, and peer support.
About us
Since their inception as Community Education Provider Networks (CEPNs) 6 years ago, Training Hubs have developed as effective networks that develop innovative educational and workforce initiatives for primary, community and social care.
The purpose of the Training Hub is to support team working across professional and organisational boundaries to prevent fragmentation and duplication of care. Training Hubs are seen to be the main vehicle to deliver workforce development, training, and education in local areas.
The North Central London Training Hub is made up of five local borough-based hubs (Barnet, Enfield, Haringey, Camden and Islington) that work collaboratively across the local ICS footprint to support key workforce agendas.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of the NCL General Practice Nursing Strategy by playing an active role in the retention, recruitment and system change workstreams at Enfield (Borough) and at NCL level. This includes:
- Strategic input on the overall priorities of the NCL Nursing Programme
- Clinical leadership on a range of priority projects and programmes led by the Borough Training Hub and NCL Training Hub
- Developing nurse leaders at ICS, Enfield, and PCN levels
- Supporting recruitment and retention initiatives with Enfield intelligence and relationships
- Ensuring NCL takes full advantage of HEE funded programmes to support recruitment
- Delivery of GPN forums
- Leading on supporting PCN Nurse Leads in Enfield
- Providing educational leadership
- Informing training needs analysis and helping steer the NCL nursing programme of training and development
The post holder will offer visible nurse leadership and senior support to Practice Nursing and its ongoing development as a profession in Enfield.

- An understanding of the role of Health Education England (HEE) and Training Hubs.
