Accountable to: Director of Primary Care Development

Location: Haringey GP Federation Offices, 48 Station Road, Wood Green, London, N22 7YT

Main duties of the job

This role provides an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, and knowledgeable, person to lead our Clinical Systems training and support for member practices across Haringey. This will include writing and developing EMIS searches, and protocols, to boost and improve practice efficiency and patient care, and to support income maximisation through QOF and IIF.

As our Clinical Systems Manager, you will be our EMIS expert. You will lead on the development of practice training packages, supporting them to use of EMIS templates effectively and efficiently. You will also support upskilling your peers who are delivering operational services. Through this role there is the potential to take a leading role, for primary care in Haringey, as part of broader Integrated Care Board programmes that drive collaboration and strive to improve patient care and health outcomes. You will also contribute to the work of various projects including the Quality Improvement Support Team (QIST), Childhood Immunisations, and Extended Access Hubs

You will be a self-starter with a passion for quality improvement and improving services in General Practice and you will be part of helping to identify and implement new opportunities for supporting Practices and developing clinical services using data collection and analysis.

We provide a range of services in Haringey, including those which are best delivered by Primary Care at scale, namely; integrated services, working with partners in our local borough partnership, together with support services, including back-office support, workforce and training and some shared staffing clinical teams. We also currently manage two local GP practices and lead the North Central London Training hub.

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience

  • Advanced user of EMIS with desire to further develop knowledge
  • Meeting contracting requirements
  • Three year operational and technical experience of EMIS system.
  • Extensive experience developing searches, protocols, and templates.

  • Understanding of corporate, clinical and information governance and systems for managing particularly clinical governance.
