Taurus Healthcare Limited

The closing date is 25 April 2025

Job summary

One of our long standing GPs is set to retire this year, so we are seeking a new GP at our innovative GP practice now managed by the GP federation. We champion the doctor patient relationship & continuity of care at practice level, underpinned by the expertise of the federation & at scale services. If youre interested in a role that gives you flexibility as your career evolves, then the following options are available :-

  • You can tailor a salaried role to work hours that suit your lifestyle and clinical interests.
  • We provide a safe and well supported working environment so you can focus on providing great clinical care to patients. To do this, we take as much admin burden away from you as possible, support you with other members of the MDT and give you more time with each patient.
  • Leadership development and clinical lead roles at the practice and across the federation.
  • Opportunities to work in out-of-hours and enhanced access services.
  • Develop a clinical interest.
  • 15 min booked F2F appointments.
  • No more than 16 booked patient contacts per session.
  • Reducing clinical admin (referrals, results, letters) due to our centralised functions.
  • We will also consider the GP Retainer Scheme.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients, including :-

  • Provide best in class patient care to our patients
  • Drive quality with colleagues to improve the health of all registered patients
  • Work with and support members of the MDT team to provide excellent joint patient care
  • Help us to foster a collaborative, ambitious and innovative culture so we can build the best primary care service in the UK; a service which exceeds the expectations for patients and clinicians
  • Supporting trainees and other members of the team
  • And all the usual GP stuff !

About us

We are a rapidly growing GP-led organisation with a mission to ensure that all patients have access to comprehensive, coordinated and continuous care within a sustainable primary care system.

We appreciate that our whole primary care system is struggling, which is causing a negative effect on patient care and staff happiness. We believe that we can turn this around by reimagining how primary care is delivered from the ground up by placing a focus on data insights, technology and clinical innovation. Ultimately, we want to improve patient access, patient experience and health outcomes to significantly increase the quality of care for our patients.

The Much Birch GMS contract was novated to the Federation in February 2024, but the practice team remains unchanged as does the identity of the surgery in the local community. Much Birch is :-

A busy rural dispensing practice at the heart of the community.

Located in the village of Much Birch, between Ross-on-Wye and Hereford city.

Covering an area reaching from the edges of Hereford to Ross on Wye, and extending into the villages of the Golden Valley.
