We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, efficient and motivated individual to head up the administration of the newly formed Workforce Pools and provide support and assistance with the co-ordination of other federative services as identified by the Federative Services team.

You will need to be computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Office, need to be a natural problem-solver, have keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a customer-service oriented approach, with an eye towards personal development. The candidate will need to have the ability to deal with numerous requests and provide timely responses to support requirements will be important.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a focal point for practices when receiving workforce pool support requests
  • Build effective relationships with direct locums and salaried GPs
  • Provide a deployment service to practices where locum cover for primary care sessions is required by matching available workers within the pool using appropriate management systems
  • Ensure both workers and practices are provided with appropriate feedback forms following completed sessions
  • Undertake appropriate statistical reporting as required for submission to the CCG and for corporate review
  • Expectation to identify and notify Workforce Pool Team of potential problems. Whilst the post holder is expected to exercise some initiative, if a situation cannot be managed within agreed protocols it should be escalated to the appropriate line manager in time to identify an alternative resolution
  • Promote and support the recruitment of all staff groups into the relevant workforce pools
  • Work closely with the HR team to ensure all pool staff have appropriate HR clearance
  • Provide flexible administration assistance, as required, to the Federative Services Team to support other federative initiatives
