Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician to join our amazing team at Martin Davies Chemists.

The successful applicant will be a registered Pharmacy Technician with General Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain and a fully qualified accuracy checker able to check dispensed prescriptions that have been clinically checked by a pharmacist in accordance with the companys SOPs.

Main duties of the job

- accurately assemble and check items under the supervision of the pharmacist

- select and perform accuracy checks to ensure that the process has been accurately performed

- comply with all relevant company SOPs, information governance, policies and procedures

- conduct investigations into any errors or incidents

- action and reduce near misses

- receive, store, maintain and issue stock in accordance with the company SOPs

About us

Martin Davies Chemists is a busy community pharmacy located just outside the town centre of Newport, dispensing around 24,000 items per month.

You will be working alongside two pharmacists, one other full time ACT as well as a great team of dispensing assistants and medicine counter assistants.

Thepharmacy provides services such as Smoking Cessation Level 2 and 3, Discharge Medicine Reviews, Emergency Hormonal Contraception, Supervised Consumption and more.
