little extra support? Were looking for a Special Care Dentist to join our
friendly and dedicated team at our Harleigh Road Dental Centre, 15 hours per
week.
This is more than just a

Competitive
Salary:
From £79,625
salaried role (pro rata) pending qualifications and experience, or the option
to work on a flexible self-employed basis

Job responsibilities
Providing
dental services to special care adults and young people
Treating referred patients thought suitable to receive
treatment in primary care
Undertaking the delivery of dentistry services
using conscious sedation techniques
Delivering
dental care under General Anaesthesia if appropriately trained
Providing expert advice and guidance to
colleagues with special care patients
Providing
excellence of service including written clinical detail enabling colleagues to
provide face-to-face treatment or other interventions at future appointments
Actively
engaging with Smile Together teams and participating in peer review, clinical audit
activities, planning and development sessions and in-house meetings etc.
Being
responsible for safe working and practice on a day-to-day basis in sites of
clinical activity, ensuring compliance with clinical governance and
legislation, appropriate health, safety and security procedures within the work
area, and reporting accidents, incidents and near misses using the Smile
Together incident reporting procedure
Undertaking
other reasonable duties as requested by the Dental Director, Clinical Directors
and Smile Together Management Team
Working
with the Dental Director, Clinical Directors, and other operational and
clinical leads to ensure your experience and knowledge helps to drive service improvement
Treating target numbers of patients
Maintaining and developing your clinical competency and continuing professional/personal
development according to agreed training needs via our Smile Together Training
Academy, other external educational providers
Attending
and actively contributing to Peer Review meetings
Developing a Personal Development Plan as described in the GDC Standards
Supporting colleagues in the delivery of urgent and emergency care
services including temperature checks with co-workers in this clinical
environment
Working alongside clinical and professional support colleagues in
facilitating ongoing organisational change and development
On occasions you may be required to visit and
work from other locations where you would need to integrate as part of the
local team
Playing
