Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Technician to join PDSE. Ideally we are looking for someone to work between 3 - 5 days per week, the exact hours will be agreed upon appointment.

As an IT Technician, you will provide an efficient and effective IT support service across all PDSE sites, resolving issues and liaising with external stakeholders regarding matters relating to specialist IT equipment. You will support with projects such as the implementation of digital dentistry and the integration of specialist dental IT equipment and the existing IT infrastructure. All necessary training and support provided will be provided.

PDSE has an existing IT contract for support, this role would complement this being the first line for enquiries and escalating matters where appropriate.

This role will be based in Plymouth but there will be regular travel required across Devon and Cornwall (travel expenses paid).

This role includes:

A salary range of £26,278 - £29,433 (pro rata dependent on working hours)

Provide support for all IT users, working closely with staff at all levels including the Senior Management Team and Directors

Troubleshooting applications, system, and network problems

Configuration and installation of new Laptops, PCs, Tablets, Phones and other IT general IT equipment

Configuration and installation of specialist dental IT equipment and liaison with external providers

Review and update IT processes and policies

Provide technical assistance with business projects

Logging and managing support required and provided

Management of SharePoint including library set up and access permissions

General IT related administration

Liaise with external IT providers around general IT equipment and specialist dental IT equipment

Measures of success:

Successful outcomes to items listed in role summary and other delegated tasks

Successful delivery of key priorities and objectives

Positive stakeholder feedback

Meets deadlines

Knowledge, Education and Training:

Qualified to degree level or equivalent qualification/experience
