St
Catherines is a small national charity working with children and young people
with severe and lifelong speech, language and
communication needs and associated difficulties.
Our site in
Ventnor on the Isle of Wight encompasses a specialist school and college and a
residential Post 19 provision. We offer,
intensive speech, language and occupational therapy, residential facilities and
comprehensive vocational programmes.
Our holistic
approach ensures every young person has access to high quality learning and
personal development opportunities relevant to their needs.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic
Speech and Language Therapist to work with a caseload of young people. Applicants should be passionate about
supporting students with speech, language and communication needs both within
an educational setting and in the local community. The successful applicant
will have a positive and flexible approach and an interest in working with
children and young people who have communication needs and associated learning
difficulties.

To provide intensive speech and language therapy input to our students and young people with speech, language and communication difficulties working collaboratively with other departments within our organisation.
Devise and deliver bespoke therapy packages to students; individually and in small groups.
To develop and maintain professional standards of services through continued professional development and other departmental and St. Catherines based activities.
The post holder will be expected to model the highest possible standards in work and conduct and will be expected to act with honesty and integrity at all times.
The vision and values of the school must be actively followed and embodied.
