Job summary
The Health & Wellbeing Centre is looking to appoint a Sports Physiotherapist who can bring energy, experience and innovation to our Medical team at Clifton College. As a qualified Physiotherapist or Sports Rehabilitator you will be responsible for injury assessment, prevention, screening, monitoring, training preparation, pitch-side cover for training and matches and the delivery of rehabilitation and conditioning programmes.
The role is full time, 37.5 hours a week, with a requirement to work weekends as per service need.
This is a term time plus role of 37 weeks, made up of 34 weeks term time and 3 weeks outside of term for workforce planning, CPD and attendance at away fixtures on a rotational basis.
Main duties of the job
To respond to the requirements of the Directors of Sport and Head of Medical Health & Welfare.
To provide pitch side first aid, clinical assessment and treatment for sporting injuries that occur during training and
matches.
To lead on the design and implementation of a safe, progressive exercise treatment schedule for all pupils as part of the
rehabilitation programme. Ensuring pupils return to full sporting fitness asap.
To ensure the management of injuries effectively meets its commitments to the players, coaches and senior
management through the keeping of clinical audits and accurate documentation.
Oversight and management of the Colleges S&C programmes. Helping support Heads of Sport and pupils with athletic
development.
Monitor player wellness/welfare at all times.
To recognise and take appropriate actions in an emergency situation.
To ensure that the highest standards of confidentiality, recording, filing and storage of patient notes and statistical
information are achieved and maintained.
To contribute to the development of rehabilitation/treatment plans.
To liaise with external organisations where pupils and young athletes have been booked for scans, consultations,
operations and to accompany them to appointments as and when required.
To work with the medical departments and coaches of external sporting bodies such as sports clubs, academies.
development and elite pathways to provide complete continuity of care.
